Payment Policy

Full payment should be made for at least a term in advance.

We do not offer refunds.

LYT Education offers students a 2-lesson paid trial period when enrolling in a new subject (excluding multi-term enrolments). After attending the first two lessons, students must pay for the rest of the term as a one-off payment.

No trial period is offered to students making multi-term enrolments.

LYT Education reserves the right to change the curriculum, class time/date, lesson duration and class teacher without prior notice. LYT Education makes no guarantee that the content of the lessons delivered will match (in terms of speed, topic order, difficulty etc.) with the content students are studying at their school.

Missed Lesson Policy
Private 1:1 Students

If parents know that their child will be away for a lesson, please notify the admin (admin@lyt-education.com.au) at least two days before the lesson is scheduled to begin. Ideally, at your earliest knowledge of an absence. A maximum of 3 lessons can be rescheduled per term. If the student cannot attend the confirmed rescheduled lessons, we cannot refund the class fee.

If your child is sick, notification of absence at least two hours before the lesson is necessary.

If a parent or student cancels a lesson within two hours before the lesson is scheduled to begin, unfortunately no rescheduling of the class is available due to our requirement to pay the tutor for their preparation and travel. The lesson will need to be fully paid. No credit can be carried forward to the next lesson. The same applies if the student does not show up for the lesson. The teacher will wait for 20 minutes and can conduct the lesson if the student shows up for the remaining time until the lesson is scheduled to conclude.

If you cancel a lesson at least two hours before the lesson begins and would like a makeup lesson, please contact the admin to rearrange another time. No additional fee will be charged.
Group Class Students (excluding Public Speaking students)

Every student is eligible for one makeup lesson for one missed lesson, in which the makeup lesson will be scheduled at a time convenient to the tutor during the school holidays. No carry forward of a previous term's lesson fees can be made into the next term.

If parents know that their child will be away for a lesson, please notify the admin at least two hours before the lesson is scheduled to begin. All efforts will be made to accommodate your child for a makeup lesson later in the same week or in the holidays.
Public Speaking Class Students
1. No refund, credit carry forward or makeup class is available for absence.
Sick On The Day

If your child is sick on the day, please do not send them to class. Your child is welcome to join online if they are able to. A Zoom link will be sent to you.

Communication
Policy
At LYT Education, we are committed to maintaining clear and respectful communication boundaries to ensure the best learning environment for all students.

Tutor Availability:
LYT tutors are not available for messaging, calls, or chats outside of scheduled class times. Please note that if you would like to speak with tutors, please make an appointment with the admin. Each term, there is a maximum of one free 10 minute appointment. Should a longer discussion or more meetings be required, parents are welcome to book a paid consultation at the same hourly rate as their child’s class. -
Absences & Administration:
All absences, scheduling changes, or general enquiries must be directed to admin@lyt-education.com.au.
