Payment Policy, Communication Policy & Missed Lesson Policy

Payment Policy

  • Full payment should be made for at least a term in advance.

  • We do not offer refunds.

  • LYT Education offers students a 2-lesson trial period when enrolling in a new subject (excluding multi-term enrolments). After attending the first two lessons, students can request for a refund of the unused term fees.

  • No trial period is offered to students making multi-term enrolments. A maximum of one lesson per term can be refunded or credited for multi-term enrolments.

  • LYT Education reserves the right to change the curriculum, class time/date, lesson duration and class teacher without prior notice. LYT Education makes no guarantee that the content of the lessons delivered will match (in terms of speed, topic order, difficulty etc.) with the content students are studying at their school.

  • LYT Education reserves the right to interpret the terms and conditions.

Missed Lesson Policy

Private 1:1 Students

 

  1. If parents know that their child will be away for a lesson, please notify Leyi at least two days before the lesson is scheduled to begin. Ideally, at your earliest knowledge of an absence. Notification at least two days before the lesson will not be billed and credit can be carried forward to next term. 

  2. If your child is sick, notification of absence at least two hours before the lesson is necessary.

  3. If a parent or student cancels a lesson within two hours before the lesson is scheduled to begin, unfortunately no refund can be given. The lesson will need to be fully paid. No credit can be carried forward to the next lesson. The same applies if the student does not show up for the lesson. The teacher will wait for 20 minutes and can conduct the lesson if the student shows up for the remaining time until the lesson is scheduled to conclude. 

  4. Each child has a maximum of one free makeup lesson per term, conducted in the same week.

  5. If you cancel a lesson at least two hours before the lesson begins and would like a makeup lesson, please contact Leyi to rearrange another time. No additional fee will be charged.

  6. If you cancel a lesson within two hours before the lesson begins and would like a makeup lesson, please contact Leyi to rearrange another time. You will be required to pay the full fee for another lesson.

 

Group Class Students

 

  1. Every student is eligible for one makeup lesson for one missed lesson, in which the makeup lesson will be scheduled at a time convenient to the tutor during the school holidays. No carry forward of a previous term's lesson fees can be made into the next term. 

  2. If parents know that their child will be away for a lesson, please notify Leyi at least two hours before the lesson is scheduled to begin. All efforts will be made to accommodate your child for a makeup lesson later in the same week or in the holidays.

 

Sick On The Day

  1. If your child is sick on the day, please do not send them to class. Your child is welcome to join online if they are able to. A Zoom link will be sent to you.

Communication
Policy

At LYT Education, we are committed to maintaining clear and respectful communication boundaries to ensure the best learning environment for all students.

  • Tutor Availability:
    LYT tutors are not available for messaging, calls, or chats outside of scheduled class times. Please note that if you would like to speak with tutors, please make an appointment. Each term, there is a maximum of one free 10 minute appointment.  Should a longer discussion or more meetings be required, parents are welcome to book a paid consultation at the same hourly rate as their child’s class.

  • Contacting Leyi:
    Please note that Leyi is not available to respond to WeChat, WhatsApp, phone calls or text messages during the week. 

  • Absences & Administration:
    All absences, scheduling changes, or general enquiries must be directed to admin@lyt-education.com.au.
    For any questions related to billing, number of sessions, or term details, please also use this email so our admin team can assist you efficiently.
